Steve Wooten, KC0QMU, the Emergency Coordinator presided over the monthly meeting of the St. Louis County ARES^® group on January 9, 2012. The Meeting was held in the downstairs private dining room at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital.

Steve welcomed the attendees and had everyone introduce themselves. He said that St. Louis County ARES^® now has 104 registered volunteers.

Steve reminded volunteers to periodically check the Registered Volunteers Only section of the Web site, www.stlares.org, for special announcements and plans.

Steve talked about Plan, Prepare, Practice and Provide.

Steve asked for volunteers to help with reviewing the group's Emergency Operations Plans and Memeornada Of Understanding with the served agencies.

Steve asked the club liaisons to give their reports.

Steve then gave a presentation on the new ARRL Introduction to Emergency Communications course.
